Cacao Antioxidant Smoothie Bowl

I worked in the juice bar at Whole Foods for a short amount of time and we used to make these amazing acai bowls. I always used to order one after my shift called the “cocoa something” and it was DELICIOUS. Sometimes I really miss those sugary acai bowls made with all the granola and peanut butter… But then I remember how crappy I would feel after eating it.
So I came up with this cacao bowl to replace the old smoothie bowl I used to love. This one has a lot of fats in it and is just mildly chocolatey. It’s not too sweet and it’s really fluffy from the fats!

Ingredients:
1 frozen banana
Half of an avocado
1 tbsp cacao
2 tbsp almond butter
Coconut milk
Sweetener if desired (stevia or honey)

Method:
-Freeze your banana overnight to make sure the bowl is cold once blended
-Mix all ingredients together with a small amount of coconut milk and blend in a blender.
-Keep adding coconut milk until it all blends together, you don’t want to overdo it and have a watery smoothie bowl that you can’t eat with a spoon.
-Top with Steve’s Paleo Goods granola, coconut and whatever else sounds good!
